Role Overview The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and hot beverages while delivering friendly, efficient, and professional guest service in line with FAB Group standards. This role focuses on consistency, speed, and product quality, contributing to a positive guest experience throughout the day.

The Barista plays a key role in maintaining coffee standards, supporting service flow, and representing the brand at the counter or coffee station.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee Preparation & Quality

  • Prepare espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages according to approved recipes and standards
  • Ensure consistency in taste, temperature, and presentation for every beverage
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, and equipment correctly and safely

Service & Guest Interaction

  • Deliver friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests
  • Take beverage orders accurately and respond to guest requests promptly
  • Provide basic menu guidance and recommendations when required

Station Standards & Cleanliness

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station at all times
  • Clean and maintain coffee equipment, tools, and work areas in line with hygiene standards
  • Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures

Operational Support

  • Support stock handling, rotation, and basic inventory checks
  • Minimise waste through correct portioning and preparation
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain service flow

Compliance & Professionalism

  • Follow hygiene, health & safety, and service SOPs at all times
  • Maintain professional appearance, grooming, and brand representation
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support daily operations

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous barista or hospitality experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and teamwork mindset
