Responsibilities

  • Champion the consistent preparation and presentation of coffee and other beverages across all outlets, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain and comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for beverage service to drive consistency and elevate service delivery.
  • Enhance team capabilities and skills through continuous engagement, performance monitoring, and practical guidance to strengthen skills and promote craftsmanship.
  • Oversee the setup and upkeep of beverage stations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during daily service and special events.
  • Collaborate with culinary and service teams to creatively integrate coffee offerings into menus and event concepts, enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure all coffee equipment and supplies are properly maintained, operationally ready and available to avoid any service interruptions.
  • Drive product innovation by introducing new brewing methods and seasonal offerings.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure alignment with the Quality Policy established in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, while strictly adhering to the company’s hygiene policies and procedures to maintain proper food and equipment handling standards as per departmental guidelines and EKFC Quality Policy.
  • Partner with outlet and event managers to ensure beverage service supports operational goals and exceeds guest expectations.

Qualifications

Education Qualification:

  • Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field
  • Barista certification from a recognized institution e.g., Speciality Coffee Association, Barista Guild (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a professional barista within a hospitality or catering environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or training capacity within beverage operations.
  • Proven experience working in high-volume service settings, such as large-scale events and multi-outlet operations.

Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth expertise in coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and professional equipment handling.
  • Strong training and coaching skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering consistent quality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and various departments.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet dynamic operational demands and event requirements
