Barista

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable barista to join our food and beverage team at El Encanto. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional and consistent coffee, communicate effectively with team members, and enhance the guest experience through product quality. As a Barista you will prepare and/or serve beverages and/or food to guests to ensure the highest quality of product and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues and profitability by providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a barista
• Must understand how to dial and taste espresso
• Must be able to create latte art
• Attentive to detail and quality
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Responsibilities

• Prepares beverages requested by servers according to standard operating procedures (i.e. proper proportions and ingredients control costs provide a consistent product to the guests)
• Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, matcha, and teas to exacting standards
• Follow opening and closing procedures that maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee station
• Dial the espresso grinder as needed to develop and ensure the highest quality espresso
• Prioritize quality and consistency in our products
• Operate and maintain all coffee machinery and equipment
• Effectively communicate with servers and serving assistances to ensure guests coffee is delivered to them in a timely manner
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
• Maintains clean and organized work areas to maximize efficiency; sets up the bar and back bar according to established procedures.
• Performs pre and post-shift side work including stock service station makes coffee etc.

Compensation: $19.27/hour
