Barista

Position Overview

San Paolo Brunch is seeking a skilled and motivated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This role goes beyond traditional coffee preparation — we are looking for someone who can perform with consistency, speed, and attention to detail in a dynamic brunch environment.

The morning operation of our Restaurant will be dedicated to our San Paolo Brunch concept, where this role will be essential in executing a high-quality coffee program while supporting overall brunch beverage service, including non-alcoholic beverages and light cocktail assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee & Espresso Program

Prepare espresso-based drinks with consistency and quality (espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha)

Maintain proper extraction, milk steaming, and presentation standards

Brunch Beverage Execution

Prepare non-alcoholic beverages (Brazilian limeade, fresh juices, iced teas, etc.)

Assist with brunch cocktails when needed (Mimosas, Bloody Marys, Irish Coffee)

Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service

Operational Support

Support FOH team with beverage service during peak hours

Restock supplies and maintain par levels throughout service

Assist with opening and closing duties of the bar/coffee station

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of barista experience required

Strong knowledge of espresso extraction and milk steaming techniques

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Strong multitasking and teamwork skills

Positive attitude and strong sense of urgency

Availability on weekends (required)

Compensation

$16 per hour + tips

Average total earnings: approximately $25 per hour (including tips)

Preferred (Not Required)

Basic knowledge of cocktails or bar service

Familiarity with POS systems (Toast is a plus)
