Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas to adhere to food safety standards.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while maintaining quality.
• Uphold food handling practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Engage in sales activities by promoting new products and upselling items to enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with food service operations and food preparation techniques is beneficial.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
