Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a fast-paced caf&eacute; environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.</li><li>Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the caf&eacute; area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas to adhere to food safety standards.</li><li>Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while maintaining quality.</li><li>Uphold food handling practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.</li><li>Engage in sales activities by promoting new products and upselling items to enhance customer satisfaction.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.</li><li>Familiarity with food service operations and food preparation techniques is beneficial.</li><li>Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.</li><li>Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.</li><li>Experience in the food industry is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key.
