We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your role will be vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that each drink is prepared to perfection.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, including equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; communicate restocking needs to management.
• Uphold company standards for quality control in beverage preparation and presentation.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of coffee products and improve sales techniques.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in roles involving customer service or food preparation.
• Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Square POS is a plus.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques is desirable.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
