Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using equipment such as espresso machines and coffee brewers
• Handle food preparation tasks including assembling cookies, buttered rolls, and other café items in accordance with food safety standards.
• Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and order management
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling stations and seating areas
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Experience

• Previous barista experience or background working in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with POS systems such as clover is a plus
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service with positive communication skills.
• Basic math skills for cash handling
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures is advantageous.
