Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our dynamic team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while delivering exceptional service. You will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including food preparation areas and dining spaces.
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper food handling practices are adhered to at all times.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed.
• Utilize time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
• Engage in sales activities by promoting menu items and upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

• Previous barista experience is preferred, along with a strong background in the coffee industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability in customer service, sales, and cashiering roles within the food service sector.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math applications.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
