Barista and Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, smoothies ensuring that every beverage is crafted to perfection. As a Barista, you will play a key role in maintaining the café's welcoming atmosphere while delivering high-quality food and drink service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, smoothies, and other menu items with precision and care.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including the preparation area and dining space.
• Handle food preparation tasks according to health and safety regulations, ensuring all food items are fresh and properly stored.
• Operate the Square system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Engage with customers to create a friendly environment, offering help and recommendations as needed.

Skills

• Strong math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Experience in food preparation and handling within the food service industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and café operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn more about various brewing methods and flavor profiles.

***Base pay starts at $17.50 per hour plus tips which equal to $19 -$23 hourly.

Mandatory 4 day paid training.

Store hours of operation is 8am-6pm

shifts are 7:30am-1pm, 1-7pm
