Barista and Cashier

Job Summary:

810 Coffee Den is a coffee shop located in Horsham, PA. We are looking for energetic, friendly baristas to join our team. In this role, you’ll prepare high-quality beverages including espresso, brewed coffee, teas, smoothies, specialty drinks and others; deliver personalized customer service, and help us in creating a warm, welcoming experience at “The Den.” If you love fast-paced environments, the aroma of coffee all day and working as a team, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

● Greet and engage customers in a positive and friendly manner

● Take orders and answer customer questions regarding menu items

● Be familiar with all menu items and food service protocols

● Operate and maintain coffee equipment with care and follow drink recipes accurately

● Prepare and serve a variety of speciality beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea, smoothies and more

● Prepare and serve food items including breakfast and lunch sandwiches, heated foods, pastries, desserts, and other menu items

● Maintain cleanliness and organization at your work space and in the seating area

● Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as prescribed by Management

● Restock supplies, clean counters, mop floors, wash glasses

● Handle customer concerns with a positive attitude

● Effectively communicate and support team members during busy periods

Requirements:

● Applicants must be 18 years of age or older

● Must have open availability Weekends/holidays required

● Positive attitude at all times, and the ability to keep cool under pressure

● Food service/ hospitality experience preferred (but not required)

● Excellent communication and customer service skills

● Basic math skills and familiarity with point-of-sales-systems

● Willingness to learn, follow instructions and cross train in different work areas

● Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Pay:

Base Pay $15 per hour, plus tips
