Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with attention to quality and presentation
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and payments
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for change and totals
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation and serving light food items as needed in accordance with food industry standards
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth café operations

Qualifications

• Prior barista experience or coffee industry background is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with coffee preparation techniques
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; strong basic math skills are essential for cash handling tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a café or retail environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
