Barista Cashier

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions smoothly and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and manage cash register operations with precision.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by properly handling food items and adhering to health regulations.
• Assist in food preparation and serving food items in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality service.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
• Keep the work area organized, stocked, and sanitized throughout your shift.

Experience

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in cashiering or retail math to handle transactions confidently.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, food handling, and basic math for accurate cash handling.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
• Experience in food industry environments or café settings is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
