Barista - Grit Coffee

(We will start hiring for our Elliewood & Nau Hall Locations in August)

Coffee or hospitality experience is preferred, but not necessary.

Job Details

• Welcome all guests warmly and communicate options clearly and kindly
• Prepare coffee beverages to standard and represent our Brand accurately
• Become familiar with our different single origins, blends, limited editions and microlots
• Merchandise management - displaying, stocking
• Maintain side work throughout each shift
• Ability to lift about 30lbs
• Ability to work on your feet for 6-8 hours
• Assist your teammates and work together to support each other

Compensation

Training Pay - $13.00/hr

Barista Pay - Starting base pay is $10/hr + tips*. Tips average between $8-$10 dollars more per hour for an average hourly pay of $18-$20 per hour.

*Tips are collected per shop per day and split amongst the team that worked that day. Tips can vary based on location and hours worked.

Schedule and Shift Expectations

Baristas must maintain at least 4 shifts per month or 1 shift per week to be considered an active employee.

Most barista shifts range from 5-7 hours

Opening shifts start at 6:30am

Closing shifts end at or around 5:30pm

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
