Barista / Hospitality Role – Coastal Cafe (Ventura)

Surfers Point Café is Hiring – Hospitality-Centric Barista We’re looking to hire for a hospitality-driven team member who genuinely enjoys taking care of people and takes pride in doing things the right way.

This is a barista role but more broadly speaking this is a hospitality role! At Surfers Point Cafe we strive to create a space where guests feel known, taken care of, and want to come back.

We don’t just ask our guests’ names—we learn them.

We’re building something that blends great coffee, quality food, and a growing beer & wine program into a space that feels easy, coastal, and dialed-in. We’re evolving—and we want someone excited to grow with us.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver a genuine, memorable guest experience—every time
• Execute high-quality coffee and espresso drinks with consistency
• Support barista standards and help elevate the overall program
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
• Assist with beer & wine service (when certified)
• Adapt to menu, service, and operational changes as we grow
• Embrace the pay it forward mentality. Set your team up for success by staying ahead on prep, organization, and cleanliness.
• Make $16.90 + tips.

Requirements

• Weekend availability is required
• TIPS certification (or able to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• California Food handler certification (or able to obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Barista experience preferred (training experience is a plus)

Pay: From $16.90 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week
