Barista – Long-Term Part-Time (Mobile Truck & Boutique Café)

Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining operational standards across both mobile coffee truck and boutique café environments. The role requires flexibility, strong product knowledge, and adherence to UAE food safety and hygiene regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities1. Beverage Preparation & Product Quality

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (espresso, specialty coffee, tea, signature drinks) as per company SOPs
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality standards
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other equipment safely
• Customize beverages based on customer preferences
• Maintain knowledge of coffee origins, blends, and preparation techniques

2. Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers professionally and create a welcoming environment
• Take accurate orders and process payments (POS, cash, card)
• Upsell and recommend products based on customer preferences
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints efficiently
• Build customer relationships to encourage repeat business

3. Mobile Truck Operations

• Set up and dismantle mobile coffee truck operations daily
• Ensure proper stock loading, water supply, and equipment readiness
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within limited workspace
• Follow safety procedures for mobile operations (gas, electricity, storage)
• Support outdoor events, activations, and pop-ups

4. Boutique Café Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café and service areas
• Ensure display standards for pastries, retail items, and products
• Monitor dine-in customer experience and ambiance
• Support opening and closing procedures

5. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance (UAE Standards)

• Adhere strictly to UAE Municipality & Food Safety regulations
• Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and temperature control
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and workstations regularly
• Comply with HACCP principles and company SOPs

6. Inventory & Stock Control

• Monitor stock levels (coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, etc.)
• Assist in stock replenishment and reporting shortages
• Minimize wastage and follow FIFO (First In First Out) practices

7. Teamwork & Operations Support

• Work collaboratively with team members across shifts
• Assist in training new staff (if required)
• Support other operational tasks assigned by management
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Food Safety / Food Handler Certificate (Dubai Municipality approved preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years as a Barista (specialty coffee preferred)
• Experience in mobile coffee truck or high-volume café is an advantage

Work Conditions

• Part-time, long-term role
• Flexible scheduling (including weekends and events)
• Work location split between mobile truck and boutique café

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
