Barista Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer interactions
• Lead, motivate, and train baristas to deliver outstanding service and product quality
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and cashiering duties accurately
• Oversee food safety, food preparation, and food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and maintain cleanliness of the café environment
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to enhance satisfaction
• Support sales goals through effective upselling and engaging customer engagement strategies

Requirements

• Proven barista experience with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a café or retail food environment
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food industry best practices, and serving protocols
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
