Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Team Members to join our vibrant café environment. As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve engaging with customers, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining the café's standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders using Square POS systems.
• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages with precision and care.
• Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for register operations.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to enhance customer experience.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience
• Must be able to work weekends
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience in the food industry or food service is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
