Barista/Cashier

Job Summary
The Local on Pensacola Beach is seeking passionate and customer-oriented Baristas/Cashiers to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy helping others, this role is perfect for you!

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking their orders accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with precision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and other products.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while delivering excellent service to customers.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Requirements

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions are essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to help customers effectively.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is beneficial.
• Must possess good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
