Join our Machapresso team as a Barista, where your energy and passion for matcha will create memorable experiences for every guest. In this dynamic role, you’ll craft delicious beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure a welcoming environment.

Interview
We are holding interviews from 11am-4pm this Friday 4/3/2026 at Machapresso Edison (561 US 1, Store E8, Edison NJ 08817).

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of matcha beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and delivery platforms to process transactions efficiently
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and basic retail math
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and serving stations
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly
• Assist with food handling, food safety protocols, and basic food preparation to ensure quality standards are met
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in serving or café environments is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
