Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages with precision and care, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Create colorful, flavorful snow cones by expertly handling flavored syrups and ice.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and serving counters.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Follow food safety guidelines diligently during food handling, preparation, and serving to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and notifying management of low stock levels.
• Some shifts may be solo shifts.

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as square for efficient sales processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed.
