Bartender

Job Overview

Blackbook is looking for experienced bartenders. This is a bar and kitchen with high quality food made from scratch. We are currently listed as one of the top 20 restaurants in the valley according to Eater LA. This is also a high volume bar and must be able to make quality cocktails swiftly.

We’re on the lookout for a lively and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our bar, creating memorable experiences for guests through excellent service and expertly crafted drinks. Whether you’re mixing cocktails, engaging with patrons, or managing bar operations, your energy and attention to detail will help keep our venue buzzing. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, skilled in beverage service, and eager to bring a positive vibe to every shift.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service that encourages repeat visits.
  • Manage bar inventory by tracking stock levels, restocking supplies, and reporting shortages or damages promptly.
  • Operate POS systems such as Toast for accurate order processing and cash handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Support the team during busy nights or special events by efficiently serving drinks and assisting with setup.
  • Follow all food safety regulations related to food handling and beverage service to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in bartending is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast for efficient transaction processing.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders quickly while maintaining accuracy.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling practices, and basic math for accurate cash handling and sales calculations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an approachable attitude that makes guests feel welcome.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $16.90 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
