Bartender

What will you do as a Bartender?

• Provide excellent guest service and greet guests by name.
• Stock beer, soda, liquor, glassware, and paper products at the start and end of each shift.
• Make cocktails according to specifications and offer drink recommendations.
• Keep the bar area clean and wash bar dishes.
• Know the location of all necessary items and use a checklist to ensure everything is stocked.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and stay informed about promotions and events.
• Enter all drink orders into the POS system accurately.
• Use FLAG protocol when serving alcohol to guests under 35.
• Adhere to all policies and laws.
• Identify signs of intoxication and stop service appropriately.
• Ensure TVs are tuned to major sports or news channels.
• Notify the supervisor of any issues.
• Create a positive experience to encourage repeat business.

Work Experience:

To be successful as a Bartender, you'll need:

• Prior experience in alcohol beverage service, minimum of one year experience
• Knowledge of liquor service standards, compliance laws, and responsible service techniques.
• The ability to complete alcohol service training/ food handler's training
• A working knowledge of acceptable forms of identification and the ability to identify altered or false IDs.
• Proficiency in counting money and making correct change.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to ring in orders and settle checks using a Point-of-Sale system.
• Proficiency in English.
• The ability to create a positive experience for guests to encourage repeat business.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
