Bartender

THIS IS A UNION ON-CALL POSITION

Job Summary:

Provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests.

Essential Job Functions:

• Take beverage orders from guests and cocktail servers
• Request identification from guests to ensure they are 21 and over
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Casino’s standard drink recipes
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS system
• Wash and sterilize glassware
• Prepare garnishes for drinks
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance to F&B Director
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
• All other duties that may be assigned

Work Environment:

• Must be willing to work any shift when necessary, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
• Must have previous bartending experience
• Basic math skills required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have passed Bartenders’ Union Craft Exam
• Must have TAM Card or ability to obtain same
• Must have Health Card or ability to obtain same

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 8 hours
• Must be able to lift, carry, pull, or move objects weighing up to 30 pounds
• Must have manual dexterity in hands and fingers

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
