Sensei Asian Bistro is seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Server to join our team. As the face of our restaurant, you will deliver exceptional dining experiences with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have prior fine dining experience, with sommelier or bartender knowledge a plus. What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 years of professional bartending experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining establishments.
- Proven knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, sake, spirits, and craft beverages.
- Solid foundation in wine service, including proper glassware, temperature control, decanting, and presentation standards.
- Understanding of major wine styles, varietals, regions, and tasting profiles, with the ability to make thoughtful pairing recommendations.
- Experience with premium ingredient preparation, advanced mixology techniques, and refined cocktail presentation.
- Familiarity with bar operations including inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling.
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, and carry trays for extended periods of time.
- Ability to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 30 lbs., for short distance.
Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional knowledge of drink recipes, flavor profiles, tasting notes, and pairing options to elevate the overall guest experience.
- Ability to confidently describe wine characteristics such as body, acidity, tannin structure, and finish.
- Strong guest service and communication skills, with the ability to engage, anticipate needs, and personalize recommendations.
- Ability to remain professional, composed, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
- Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while consistently maintaining quality and presentation.
- Thorough knowledge of responsible alcohol service and compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
