Bartender

We work 10-12 hr shifts

Beverage Service

• Prepare and serve beer, wine, mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages

• Follow all TABC and state alcohol laws

• Check IDs and ensure responsible alcohol service

• Monitor guests for intoxication and handle situations professionally

Cash Handling

• Operate cash register/POS system

• Accurately handle cash, credit cards, tabs

• Balance drawer at end of shift

• Process member tabs if applicable

Cleanliness & Organization

• Keep bar top, coolers, and work area clean and stocked

• Wash glassware and bar tools

• Restock beer, liquor, mixers, and supplies

• Take out trash and maintain sanitary conditions

Member & Guest Service

• Provide friendly, respectful service to veterans and guests

• Build relationships with regular members

• Maintain a welcoming, community-focused environment

• Enforce house rules politely but firmly

Operations Support

• Assist with special events (bingo, live music, fundraisers, holiday parties)

• Help set up or break down event spaces when needed

• Report low inventory or maintenance issues

• Follow opening and closing procedures

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure bar area is secure at closing

• Follow VFW policies and post guidelines

• Promote a safe, respectful environmeny

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.50 - $8.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
