Bartender

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems like Toast.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and food handling standards.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions.
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving practices, especially in nightclub or banquet settings.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during catering or banquet events.
• Handle food safety protocols diligently while serving food and beverages in various hospitality environments.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies, restocking bar essentials, and conducting regular stock checks.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and courteously in fast-paced settings.
• Support the team during busy nights by managing time effectively to serve multiple tables or bar stations efficiently.

Skills

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments with strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders seamlessly during peak hours.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and billing purposes.
• Strong sales skills with an energetic approach to upselling beverages and promoting specials.
• Experience in catering or food service environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with beverage brewing processes such as brewing coffee or beer is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members alike.
