What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• You will maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar, which includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce
• Maintain a clean and organized environment at all times
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Check customers’ identification to confirm legal drinking age
• Handling of all cash and credit card transactions using the point of sale to create a check for each guest to maintain accountability of all food and beverages served
• Lock up and store all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• 2 years’ experience bartending and serving in a fine dining restaurant and lounge
• Excellent knowledge of all food and beverage products
• Previous point of sale system experience an asset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Have open availability to work different shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Basic math skills for handling cash.
• Knowledge of local and state alcohol regulations.
• TIPS and Serve Safe Certification preferred
