Bartender

Taverna - Austin Downtown - is actively hiring a bartender to join our team!

We are seeking someone who is not only a skilled bartender but also outgoing with great people skills.

As a bartender, you will:

• Verify all guests are of legal age to consume alcohol
• Provide a positive and friendly guest experience
• Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages by tending to detail and presentation of each order
• Keep a clean and sanitized bar area
• Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.
• Assess guest preferences and make drink recommendations
  
  
  

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale restaurant required
• Current Food Handlers and TABC
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal liquor laws
• Morning Availability required
• Familiar with POS system
• Friendly and self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail
• Continuous bending, reaching, twisting and use of hands and arms
