Job Purpose
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while creating a welcoming and engaging guest experience. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth bar operations, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant.
Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.

Provide excellent guest service by fostering a friendly, professional, and welcoming atmosphere.

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar and surrounding areas.

Follow all state, local, and company guidelines for responsible alcohol service and guest safety.

Restock, rotate, and maintain bar inventory, ensuring accuracy and freshness of products.

Handle cash, credit card, and POS transactions accurately and responsibly.

Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and side work.

Support team members in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations.

Requirements:
Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience as a bartender or in a related role preferred.

Strong knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and bar equipment.

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Valid Washington State MAST (Mixologist/Alcohol Server Training) Permit required prior to first day of work.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach throughout the shift.

Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Work performed in a bar and restaurant environment with exposure to alcohol, cleaning
-
chemicals, hot/cold surfaces, and moderate noise levels.

Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including non-slip footwear, is required.
