Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. With a full 360° bar and a reputation for craft cocktails, stunning views, and elevated service, we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a strong background in customer service within the food and beverage industry. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional service while crafting high-quality beverages for our guests. Experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years bartending experience in a high-volume setting
- Valid RBS Certification (Responsible Beverage Service)
- Valid Riverside County Food Handlers Card
- Comfortable with both bartending and serving duties as needed
- Must be comfortable working in hot and cold weather — our open-air rooftop concept operates year-round
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic quickly and accurately (cash handling, tabs, tip-outs, etc.)
- Open availability – including nights, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Engage with customers, providing excellent service and recommendations based on their preferences.
- Process transactions accurately using Toast POS systems, handling cash and credit card payments efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and garnishes; assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service for guests at the bar or during events.
- Participate in social media postings.
Skills
- Proficient in Toast POS systems for efficient order processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours effectively.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand bar environment.
- Excellent sales skills to promote menu items and enhance guest experiences.
- Previous fine dining experience is preferred; nightclub experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts related to inventory management.
