Position Overview:

As a Bartender at Holliday Farms, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to our club members and guests. This role requires expertise in mixology, including knowledge of food and wine pairings, as well as wine presentation and service. You’ll be tasked with preparing, serving, and presenting alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while ensuring a positive, high-quality guest experience.

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations:

• Bar Stocking & Pre-Opening Requirements:
• Stock the bar and complete all pre-opening requirements, ensuring that necessary supplies are available and organized.
• Prepare garnishes, fruit mixes, and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening.
• Beverage Preparation & Service:
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and mixology best practices.
• Skillfully slow or refuse alcoholic beverage service when necessary to ensure responsible consumption.
• Serve drinks ordered by food and beverage servers in a timely and professional manner.
• Guest Interaction & Customer Service:
• Greet and engage with members and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Handle complaints or concerns promptly and report them to a manager as needed.
• Serve drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables when beverage servers are absent.
• Thank guests for their visit and encourage them to return.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Follow all state and local laws and club policies and procedures related to the service of alcoholic beverages.
• Ensure food and beverage items are stored and labeled correctly, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and perform your role as required during emergency situations.
• Post-Closing Requirements:
• Clean the bar area and equipment according to prescribed closing procedures.
• Maintain bar inventory records to ensure adequate stock is always available.
• Lock the bar area securely at the end of the shift.
• Organization & Revenue Control:
• Practice beverage and revenue control procedures to ensure accurate cash handling.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Professional Development:
• Attend staff meetings, pre-shift line-ups, and training sessions as required.
• Assist with other tasks as requested by a supervisor.

Job Tasks/Duties:

• Bar Setup & Stocking:
• Inspect the bar before opening to ensure all supplies are available, and request additional items if needed.
• Follow set-up procedures for preparing the bar for service, ensuring everything is in place for smooth operation.
• Beverage Preparation & Serving:
• Mix, prepare, and serve drinks for members and guests according to standard recipes.
• Collect payments and checks for drinks served, processing them according to club procedures.
• Cleaning & Maintenance:
• Maintain cleanliness in the bar area, ensuring that all equipment is clean and organized.
• Clean and lock the bar area after closing, following all prescribed procedures.
• Event Support:
• Work large or small events with minimal supervision, ensuring smooth beverage service during special occasions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
