Bartender Job Description:

Bartenders at Urban Lodge Brewing Co. are representatives of the passion we have for craft beer, community, and providing the best customer experience. This role goes beyond pouring drinks — you’ll be the face behind the bar, crafting quality beverages, suggesting food pairings that complement our craft beer while delivering top-notch customer service, and contributing to the overall guest experience in a lively restaurant and brewery environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

· Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced setting.

· Take food orders at the bar as well as surrounding tables when necessary.

· Maintain thorough knowledge of our house-brewed beers and be able to make recommendations to guests.

· Educate guests about our brewing process and beer styles when appropriate.

· Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic, and professional manner.

· Follow standard recipes and presentation specifications.

· Greet guests promptly, warmly, and professionally when they arrive at the bar or the tables surrounding.

· Handle cash, POS transactions, and manage tabs accurately.

· Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

· Bus tables in the bar when necessary.

· Assist with beer tastings, brewery tours, or special events when required.

· Enforce company policies and state laws regarding the consumption of alcohol

· Replenish and restock bar inventory

● Wash and maintain clean glassware at all times

● Have an in depth knowledge of the craft beer, wine, and cocktails served

● Always be focused on crafting the best guest experience

● Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

● Be guest oriented and a positive representative of Urban Lodge Brewing Co.

● Maintaining the cleanliness of the taproom, bar and service areas

Qualifications:

• Proven bartending experience in a restaurant, brewery, or bar setting.
• Strong knowledge of beer styles, brewing process, and mixology a plus
• MUST have a team mentality, helping out wherever is needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling.
• Must meet the minimum age for serving alcohol (based on local laws).
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol) preferred.

Physical Requirements

· Must stand and walk for long periods of time

· Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 35 lbs.
