Position Description: Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing high-quality beverage service to guests in the hotel bar and restaurant. This role ensures a welcoming atmosphere while preparing beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering exceptional guest service.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests
- Maintain knowledge of drink menus, specials, and promotions
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and verify identification as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and brand standards
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Knowledge of drink recipes and bar operations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Alcohol service certification required or ability to obtain
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling bar equipment
