Server Responsibilities (subject but not limited to the following):
- Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- Help guests select food and beverages by presenting suggestions from the menu, offering cocktails, explaining the chef's specials, and answering food preparation questions
- Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service
- Stay updated on current menu choices/specials and knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
- Be alert by responding to additional guest needs and observing dining process
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed and refilling beverage glasses
- Obtain cash or credit card payment by issuing the bill, accepting payment, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Assist with special events as needed
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management
- Skills and Requirements:
- At least 6 months previous serving experience required, 1+ years preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to work as a team
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- Knowledge on proper timing between course meals is a plus
- No education required
Additional for Bartender (subject but not limited to the following):
-Must be at least 21 years old
-Prepare alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
-Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
-Beer & Wine knowledge or willingness to learn
-Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
-Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
-Re-stock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
-Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
-Comply with all food and beverage regulations
-Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
-Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
-Must possess a positive, vibrant personality and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Must be available to work events as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $2.13 - $20.00 per hour
