A Banquet Bartender is responsible for serving beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in the Golden Nugget’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Assist and prepare in set-up of the banquet area prior to guest arrival to ensure room design is executed correctly

Maintain timeline of events to ensure seamless service
- Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages

Follow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly

Maintain cleanliness and condition of stations, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines

Maintain complete knowledge of the daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people; location of all Golden Nugget function space and names of rooms; all styles of meeting and banquet room settings
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum age of 21 years old

Must be available for various shifts including early morning, late nights, double shifts, occasional triple shifts, occasional split shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours

Understanding of basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts for guests

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group environments to customers, clients, and or employees of organizations that we serve

1 year prior food service experience required, preferably in Banquets
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience preferred but will train willing individual.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills.
Language Skills:
Must be able to speak and understand English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
