The Marriott Savannah Riverfront has an immediate opening for a Bartender / Cocktail Server.

Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Bartender / Cocktail Server during the PM shift, where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable experiences for our guests. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks with precision and flair, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Take orders accurately using POS systems or Micros POS, ensuring swift and friendly service.
• Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through excellent time management skills, maintaining a smooth flow of service during busy hours.
• Engage with guests to provide exceptional customer service, answer questions about drinks or menu items, and promote specials or promotions.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while adhering to food safety and responsible serving practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including food handling safety protocols and proper food safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe environment in a nightclub or banquet setting, supporting catering events or retail beverage sales as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles, particularly in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems or Micros POS is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of alcohol service laws, food safety standards, and responsible beverage service practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality customer interactions.
• Experience with retail math, basic math skills for cash handling, and sales techniques to upsell beverages confidently.
• Knowledge of the food industry’s best practices in food handling, brewing processes, catering services, and food safety protocols is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude; previous experience serving diverse clientele is a plus.
