Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Bartender / SERVER to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through effective time management skills, ensuring prompt service during busy hours.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities while providing detailed descriptions of drinks and food offerings.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering processes, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during special events such as banquets or nightclub nights, contributing to a lively atmosphere.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with alcohol serving laws and policies.
- Assist in catering setups or food service during large events or private parties as needed.
- Stay informed about menu updates, brewing techniques, and new beverage trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with banquet or catering services is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts related to sales upselling and inventory management is beneficial.
