Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests efficiently and in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. The role requires excellent knowledge of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, strong customer service skills, and the ability to create a lively, engaging atmosphere suitable for a sports bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, mix, and serve all types of beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) according to standard recipes and guest preferences.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all guests at the bar and tables.
- Engage guests with friendly conversation, sports updates, and product knowledge to create a fun and interactive bar atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, bar counter, and all bar equipment.
- Ensure all beverages are correctly garnished, presented, and served at the right temperature.
- Handle cash and point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Restock bar inventory, maintain par levels, and ensure proper storage of beverages and bar supplies.
- Check identification of customers to verify legal drinking age and prevent underage service.
- Monitor guest consumption and act responsibly to promote safe alcohol service.
- Adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards as per HACCP and company policies.
- Report maintenance issues, stock shortages, or incidents to the Bar Supervisor promptly.
- Support the team in promoting outlet promotions, events, and sports screenings to enhance guest experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bartender in a Sports Bar, Pub, Lounge, or 4/5-star hotel environment.
- Certification in Bartending or Mixology from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beers, wines, and bar equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure during busy hours.
- High standard of personal grooming and professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
