Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes or customer requests
- Manage bar inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Take orders, handle cash or card payments, and operate POS systems
- Interact with customers, answer questions, and provide recommendations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol-serving regulations
- Occasionally create or innovate cocktail recipes (especially for mixologists)
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Basic math for handling cash and measurements
- Physical stamina (standing long hours, lifting bottles, cleaning)
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and alcohol-serving laws
Work Environment
- Bars, pubs, restaurants, hotels, resorts, or event venues
- Can involve night shifts, weekends, and busy periods
- Indoor environments, often crowded or noisy
