Bartender/Mixologist

The Local is the newest and ONLY cocktail lounge in the heart of downtown McMinnville specializing in in craft food and drink. Our mission is to provide a memorable experience through innovative dishes and cocktails, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional customer service. The Local aims to become a staple in the community, attracting both locals and tourists.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, ambitious, and detail-oriented bartender/mixologist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of bartending experience, is passionate about food, drinks, and service, and is unrelenting in their dedication to providing an unparalleled guest experience. He/she must have reliable transportation to and from the restaurant and have a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist General Manager and Kitchen Manager in general and seasonal cocktail menu development.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure the quality of all beverage products through proper recipe adherence, and quality control.
• Communicate, implement, and follow up on all policies and procedures.
• Contribute during periodic staff meetings to ensure all crew members are up to date on menu changes, new offerings, etc.
• Properly train all bar staff in drink recipes, equipment/appliance usage.
• Control bar costs by following recipes and waste control procedures.
• Ensure all bar appliances and equipment are kept in excellent working condition through daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bartender/mixologist .
• Experience with cocktail menu planning.
• Knowledge of wines, liquors, and beers, and suggested pairings,
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Experience working in a fine dining establishment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $7.25 - $20.00 per hour
