Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Engage with guests warmly, taking orders accurately and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions swiftly and accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the bar area.
- Maintain knowledge of beverage menus, including brewing techniques for specialty drinks, to educate guests and promote sales.
- Assist with food service when needed, supporting catering events or banquet functions to deliver seamless hospitality.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as necessary, and communicate supply needs to management to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as fine dining, nightclub service, or banquet catering with a strong understanding of hospitality standards.
- Proficiency in POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests in fast-paced environments.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques to ensure guest safety.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly within legal guidelines; familiarity with beverage alcohol laws is a plus.
