Bartender/Server

GAMA Ride is San Mateo’s premier amusement and entertainment center, offering an exciting atmosphere for guests of all ages. Our Beer & Wine Bar provides a relaxing space for adult guests to enjoy premium beverages while the kids play. We are currently seeking a responsible, friendly, and experienced Bartender to join our team and oversee both the bar and the surrounding dining/lounge area. The Bartender is responsible for serving beer and wine, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining area, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a lively, family-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
• Engage with customers, taking orders efficiently while providing excellent service and recommendations.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to support food service operations during busy periods or events such as catering functions.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience is highly desirable, but no required
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation methods.
• Proficient in cash handling and operating POS systems.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers.
• A background in hospitality or catering is a plus, enhancing your ability to provide exceptional service.
• Must be of legal drinking age and possess any required certifications for bartending in your location.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and available to work weekends and evenings
