Bartender/Server

At Four Points by Sheraton, a bartender is viewed as the "host of the space," responsible for creating a straightforward and honest atmosphere for independent travelers. The role combines high-quality beverage service with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction, often requiring you to act as a local guide or concierge for hotel guests.

Core Responsibilities

  • Beverage & Food Service: Prepare and serve classic cocktails, mixed drinks, and micro-local offerings with precision. In some locations, this also includes preparing and cooking bar food items.
  • Guest Engagement: Welcome travelers in a genuine, friendly manner, providing personalized recommendations and anticipating their needs.
  • Operational Management: Maintain bar cleanliness, stock supplies (glassware, ice, paper products), and perform opening/closing duties such as counting the bank and completing cashier reports.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly verify guest identification for legal age and monitor consumption to prevent over-service, adhering to all state and local liquor laws.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately process all payment methods through POS systems (TOAST) and resolve any financial discrepancies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of one to two years of bartending experience in a high-volume or hotel environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of spirits, wines, and cocktail recipes, along with basic math skills for cash handling.
  • Certifications: Most roles require a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or state-mandated alcohol server permit.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for entire shifts and lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds (e.g., glass racks, beverage containers)

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
