Overview:

Legends Baseball and Softball is seeking a highly dynamic, motivated, and skilled Legends Baseball Director to join our dedicated team for the Fall of 2025 and beyond. This multifaceted role blends on-field coaching excellence with the creativity of experience design, the strategic thinking of instructional design, and the efficiency of administrative support, topped with the leadership qualities necessary to inspire and manage a team.

We're in search of an individual who possesses a rich background in the baseball industry, demonstrates significant playing experience at a high level, and has a proven track record in coaching. The role demands a candidate who is not only familiar with the operational aspects of running a baseball business, including marketing strategies but also brings a creator's mindset to the table, particularly with social media content generation.

The Legends Director will navigate through various responsibilities from on-field coaching, managing coaching staff, to engaging in productive office work during the off-season. Our ideal candidate is someone who commits to excellence, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and exhibits flexibility in the face of evolving responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Field Excellence: Lead and participate in all programming activities as required, ensuring the highest quality of coaching and player development.
  • Program Design and Execution: Actively contribute to the design and execution of all on-field programs, demonstrating innovative thinking and a player-first approach.
  • Growth and Marketing Strategy: Engage in strategic discussions aimed at expanding the reach and impact of Legends Baseball, both within the Bay Area and beyond.
  • Leadership and Management: Serve as the principal director for a range of existing and newly developed programs, guiding teams towards success.
  • Operational Support: Manage gear purchasing, transportation, and organization, ensuring resources are efficiently allocated and maintained.
  • Communication and Engagement: Maintain consistent and effective communication with program families through post-practice/game recaps and regular updates.
  • Team Development: Coach, mentor, and guide other coaches, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Content Creation: Lead and assist in the production of engaging social media content and instructional material for coaches' clinics.

Expectations:

  • Commitment: Dedicate a minimum of 20+ hours per week to Legends Baseball, with the understanding that workload will vary by season.
  • Punctuality: Ensure early arrival for all on-field sessions and maintain availability via phone and email.
  • Strategic Participation: Actively participate in strategy and program design meetings, contributing valuable insights and ideas.
  • Flexibility: Adapt to changing responsibilities and conditions within the dynamic environment of a growing organization.
  • Leadership Priority: Prioritize Legends Baseball obligations, coordinating personal commitments with organizational needs.

  • Experience: Extensive background in the baseball industry, with high-level playing and coaching experience.
