We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Baylor Shift Nurse to join our facility.
Position Overview
The Baylor Shift Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents during assigned weekend Baylor shifts. This role ensures that residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice. Baylor schedules allow nurses to work weekend double shifts while receiving full-time pay and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and supervise quality nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to the physician and Director of Nursing.
Document nursing care, observations, and resident responses accurately in the medical record.
Oversee and guide CNAs and other support staff to ensure resident needs are met.
Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
Qualifications
Current and valid RN or LPN license in the state of Tennessee.
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred.
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.
Ability to work Baylor weekend schedule (typically two 12-hour shifts on weekends, paid as full-time).
