BCM Officer

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.


Objective:


The BCM Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of ASMO’s operations in the face of potential disruptions. Collaborating closely with various departments, the BCM Officer facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of business continuity plans and protocols.


General Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the development, communication, and execution of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) strategy aligned with ASMO’s overall objectives.
  • Provide strategic support in the implementation of BCM initiatives, ensuring alignment with HSSE goals and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with HSE team members to integrate business continuity considerations into broader HSE programs, fostering a comprehensive approach to safety and resilience.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to business continuity, taking a proactive stance on risk management within the BCM framework.
  • Develop and implement BCM policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard assets and operations during unforeseen events.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a robust Safety Management System, incorporating business continuity elements, risk assessments, and incident response protocols.
  • Oversee ASMO’s response to incidents, emergencies, and accidents, ensuring timely and effective mitigation in alignment with business continuity gaps.
  • Collaborate on sustainability initiatives to ensure alignment with environmental responsibility commitments within the BCM framework.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on business continuity to equip employees with the knowledge and skills required for a resilient and adaptive workplace.
  • Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators and metrics related to business continuity, measuring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to ensure transparent communication and collaboration on business continuity matters.
  • Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Implement all relevant Department’s policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies and standards.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English
  • 5 years’ experience in similar or related field.
