BDE (Business Development Executive)

Role Overview

We are looking for a BDE with strong experience in generating business through online portals, especially Upwork and other freelancing platforms. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, bidding on projects, client communication, and closing deals for IT / Digital / Web / App development services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate business through online portals like:
  • Upwork
  • Freelancer.com
  • Guru.com
  • PeoplePerHour
  • Fiverr
  • Identify suitable projects, analyze client requirements, and submit high-quality proposals.
  • Handle end-to-end bidding process including:
  • Proposal drafting
  • Cost estimation
  • Timeline planning
  • Client negotiation
  • Communicate with international clients via chat, email, and video calls.
  • Convert leads into long-term business relationships.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for accurate project scoping.
  • Maintain sales pipeline and track progress using CRM tools.
  • Achieve monthly revenue and closure targets.

KPIs / Performance Metrics

  • Number of bids submitted
  • Proposal-to-response ratio
  • Lead-to-closure ratio
  • Monthly revenue generated
  • Client retention rate
  • Repeat business percentage

Required Skills

  • 3–6+ years of experience in online bidding & business development
  • Proven track record of winning projects on Upwork and similar platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of IT services (Web, Mobile, AI, SaaS, Digital Marketing, etc.)
  • Ability to write customized and persuasive proposals
  • Knowledge of pricing models (fixed, hourly, milestone-based)
  • Strong negotiation & closing skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field
  • Strong understanding of international markets (US, UK, Australia, etc.)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in IT services company
  • Handling high-value international clients
  • Knowledge of CRM tools like HubSpot or Zoho CRM
  • Experience in LinkedIn lead generation & email outreach

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
