BDM – Cooling Tower: Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Growth

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for cooling towers (FRP/wooden/industrial cooling systems).
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, and site visits.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals to clients.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, contractors, and end-users.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to convert enquiries into orders.
  • Provide timely support and resolve customer queries related to product selection, pricing, and service.

3. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and product developments.
  • Identify potential industry segments (HVAC, chemical plants, power plants, pharma, food processing, etc.).
  • Provide market intelligence to management for strategic planning.

4. Technical & Product Expertise

  • Understand technical specifications of cooling towers, components, and performance parameters.
  • Suggest suitable models/designs based on heat load, water flow, temperature requirements, etc.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams for customized solutions.

5. Proposal & Tender Management

  • Study RFQs, tender documents, and project requirements.
  • Prepare quotations, techno-commercial bids, and compliance statements.
  • Participate in tender submissions, negotiations, and order finalization.

6. Coordination & Project Handover

  • Work closely with execution, service, logistics, and accounts teams for order processing.
  • Ensure proper order handover with all documentation and customer expectations clearly defined.
  • Track project installation timelines and ensure client satisfaction.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain CRM data, enquiry records, and sales pipelines.
  • Submit weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Provide strategic inputs during team meetings.

8. After-Sales Support (Coordination Role)

  • Ensure customers receive after-sales service support.
  • Address issues related to performance, warranty, or maintenance through the service team.
