Job Summary
The Bee Vradenburg Foundation Arts Administration Internship is a 25-hour per week, 8-week paid internship supporting Curatorial and Collections work at the FAC. Interns contribute to projects aligned with the FAC Museum's mission: to provide excellent arts programs for the community and meaningful teaching and learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
Curatorial:

Assist with exhibition organization, layout support, and installation preparation;

Contribute to the development of interpretive materials including tombstone and wall labels;

Support artist and object research across active and forthcoming exhibitions;

Assist with permanent collection rotations and related interpretive content.
Collections:
-
Support collections research, care, and processing, including mounting, framing, and file organization;

Assist with collections inventory, location tracking, and database management;

Contribute to condition reporting and archival work;

Support special collections projects as assigned.
General:

Work closely with museum staff to support the needs of daily museum operations;

Communicate effectively via email and in meetings with departmental staff;

Learn and utilize software including Monday.com and PastPerfect;

Assist with copying, scanning, data entry, and logistical organization.
o Support and actively contribute to the goal of achieving greater diversity, inclusion and equity at Colorado College and work effectively with the many constituencies in a college environment.
o Promote a culture of safety and environmental protection by working in a safe manner; immediately reporting unsafe situations and accidents; following college procedures; and participating in appropriate safety training.
o Demonstrate environmental sustainability by using college resources wisely and supporting the college's sustainability initiatives and innovation.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must currently be enrolled in a university, college, community college or vocational school. Demonstrated initiative and intellectual curiosity, with an interest in museum work; Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in person and via digital platforms; Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel) or similar tools; Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality. This position involves in-person work with intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, sitting, and art handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Art or Museum Studies background. Familiarity with design software a plus but not required.
